When we're not drinking Manhattans, we'll take an Old Pal. Usually made with rye, we prefer it with bourbon (the higher the proof, the better).

Ingredients

3 tablespoons rye or bourbon
2 tablespoons Campari
2 tablespoons dry vermouth
1 orange twist

Preparation

  1. Combine the first 3 ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and stir until shaker becomes frosty. Strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with orange twist.
